You can make money while traveling by teaching English online. There are various options, such as teaching privately via video chat or working as English tutors for children.

2. Forex Trading

Forex trading is a way to make money while traveling by trading currencies. You can trade from the comfort of a coffee shop, café, or anywhere with access to WiFi.

Forex trading is trading one currency for another at the current market price in hopes that you can repurchase it cheaper and make a profit.

The best way to trade currencies is by using an online platform such as AvaTrade or eToro. These sites offer full-service platforms with tools like live-streaming charts, which will help optimize your trades.

Some courses that can help you learn how to trade forex include:

Asia Forex Mentor, Forex Mentor, and the Forex Trading Coach.

You’ll need some initial investment and familiarity with financial markets (you don’t have to be an expert), but it’s one of the easiest ways for beginners who want to start their own business on the side!

The difficulty of success: 7/10

To consistently be profitable is very difficult as a forex trader. If you master it and have a lot of control over your emotions, this can be one of the most lucrative remote jobs out there.

3. Becoming an Online Life Coach

One of the biggest online trends is becoming a life coach, and it is easy to understand why!

What is an Online Life Coach?

An online life coach typically does more than just offer their thoughts and opinions on the matter. They are equipped with skills to help you get through some of your most challenging times or to overcome personal obstacles that seem impossible!

Why Become a Life Coach:

The benefits of being an online life coach can’t be overstated. You’ll have the chance to change people’s lives for the better from anywhere in the world – while still having time for yourself because coaching doesn’t require full-time hours.

How Much Money Can I Make as an Online Life Coach?

What makes this career appealing is how much money you can make. Some coaches charge $200 per hour, and others charge much less, depending on your experience and skill set.

If you can bring value to a client, they will pay you for it!

The difficulty of success: 4/10

There are plenty of online programs that can teach you how to become an online life coach. This is broad, so it can be challenging, but it also is fairly straightforward once you get the hang of it.

4. Become a Health and Wellness Coach

If you know a lot about health and wellness, becoming an online coach can be an excellent option. There are a lot of people out there who need help with their diets, exercise routine, and other areas of health.

If you can help guide people to a proper diet and hold their clients accountable, you might just be the coach they need.

How much can you make:

Some health and wellness coaches charge $200 per hour. Others charge much less, of course, mainly depending on your experience and skill set.

Skills needed: You will need to know a lot about health and wellness to be successful as an online coach. If you know this area already, it can lead to a full-time income for you!

The difficulty of success: 3/10

If this is something you are passionate about, then you have a massive audience waiting for your services. Build online programs and go become a full-time digital nomad.

5. A Travel Coach

Another kind of online coaching service that you can provide is how to help other people quit their 9-5 jobs!

This is a massive thing in today’s world (as you know since you are reading this article on working while traveling;))

The “Quit Your Job” business model is a really popular one!

If you can get out there, and show people that you have broken the 9-5 barrier, then people will pay you to help them do the same!

The difficulty of success: 5/10

Clearly, you like traveling. If you like traveling and have done a lot of it, becoming a travel coach can be a fairly easy way into the digital nomad world.

6. Become a Sales Coach

“If you are not selling, then you are not in business!”

If you have a strong sales background, perhaps you should become a sales coach!

You can do this by consulting, doing one-on-one coaching sessions with clients, or running your own group training program.

What does a sales coach do?

They work with entrepreneurs and teach them how to close more deals. Sales coaches also train their clients in skills such as prospecting, negotiating, networking, etc.

If you want to be successful at this type of business, you need a positive mindset and the determination that nothing is impossible for you!

Every company needs sales representatives who can increase revenue by closing new deals, so, naturally, people hire consultants or full-time employees for those positions.

If they are not looking locally, they will look overseas, where incomes are cheaper than buying local talent from one country.

Advice:

If you join some entrepreneur Facebook groups, countless business owners seek sales help and training. Reach out to them!

Or you can try your luck prospecting on places such as LinkedIn!

The difficulty of success: 6/10

If you are good at sales, people will pay you for that skillset. This is a great place to start your digital nomad journey.

7. Become a Virtual Assistant

If you want to become that full-time traveler, becoming a virtual assistant is a great way to do so!

This is a huge business model and much more than just answering emails!

Through various websites such as Fiverr, Upwork, Zirtual, etc., you can find a ton of work that people need help with!

Another great thing is that if you can complete tasks and grow your virtual assistant portfolio, you can start outsourcing jobs.

Virtual assistants can sometimes be challenging to trust, so if you can prove that you will produce high-quality work, the jobs can be endless.

The difficulty of success: 4/10

Becoming a virtual assistant is an easy way to generate a full-time income while traveling the world. It just also may be time-consuming and demanding.

8. Record Voiceovers

There is an incredibly high demand for people to do various voiceovers online.

You can record a voiceover for anything from audiobooks to commercials and other promotional videos. The rate will vary depending on your recording, but there is money in doing these jobs!

I have personally attempted to do some voiceovers, and it is not as easy as it sounds!

Some great places to find voiceover jobs includes Freelancer.com, Fiverr, and UpWork!

To give you an idea of what is out there:

A voiceover for audiobook narration on a 20-minute story would cost around $200-$300 USD per finished hour, with prices varying depending on the size of the project, length of recording session needed, etc.

Voiceovers are often used in advertisements to create or supplement dialogue when images or video footage are unavailable; they can also be used as audio clips on websites and other promotional videos/films.

The difficulty of success: 3/10

Do you have a smooth, buttery voice? Take a shot at recording voice overs! This is easy if you have the chops for it.

9. Trading Cryptocurrencies

Bitcoin is the new buzzword.

One great way to make some money while traveling is to trade cryptocurrencies.

First, let’s do a very surface-level breakdown of what a cryptocurrency is. In simple terms, cryptocurrencies are virtual coins that are created and stored electronically.

Bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency, but there are many other alternatives out there as well. Bitcoin uses a technology called Blockchain to keep track of all transactions and ensure that people aren’t spending their money more than once – it’s an exciting concept! This ensures stability in the value of Bitcoins over time (unlike traditional currencies). And as we know, this can turn into big bucks if you play your cards right!

Some other notable cryptocurrencies include Ethereum, Litecoin and Dash, polka dot, and many more.

The main thing to know about cryptocurrencies is that they do not exist in physical form like traditional money – they are simply strings of numbers on a screen!

This means you can trade them online for other virtual coins or for items or services from providers accepting Bitcoin as payment.

You can also use the exchange service at Coinbase to buy Bitcoins with your account balance (e.g., USD) if you don’t want to go through all the hassle of buying bitcoins yourself by ‘mining’ them (although this takes some time and intense training).

The difficulty of success: 8/10

When the markets are good, crypto is easy. When the markets are bad, crypto is hard. Proceed with caution on this one.

10. You can Fill Out Online Surveys for Companies

This is a great way to earn some quick cash while doing other tasks from your laptop, such as your day job.

With this, you can fill out surveys on behalf of different corporate clients who have questions for their customers – such as market research or opinion polls that will help them improve their businesses.

Visit sites like MySurvey or Opinion Outpost and register with an email address and start earning money!

The difficulty of success: 2/10

Online surveys are very easy to complete. It may however, be difficult to do enough surveys to become a full-time digital nomad.

11. Try Your Luck at Online Poker

There are people out there who earn a full-time income playing poker online.

Of course, this can be risky and takes some skill, but if you learn how to play poker properly and well, this can be a serious moneymaker.

Some poker sites, like Poker Stars, offer a free download, and you can make your first deposit as low as $25. You’ll need an email address so they know where to send the money!

If you’re not sure about playing poker for real cash just yet, then other online games let people compete against each other for fun – such as chess or bridge. Some even have tournaments with cash prizes too!

The difficulty of success: 6/10

If you are a poker shark, this may be a lot easier than a 6 on the difficulty level. However, if you are new to Poker, this may not be the best freelance option for you.

12. Sports Betting

While we are on the topic of online gambling, how about sports betting?

If you are an avid sports fan and consider yourself knowledgeable, you can always try your luck with sports betting!

Sports betting provides you with different options, such as betting on a particular player to predicting the winner of an event.

To get started, you will need to find an online casino that offers these kinds of games and download their software or app onto your phone/tablet – they are available for Android and iOS devices! Once installed, you can sign up with them by going through the registration process, which is usually pretty straightforward (you’ll want to enter your name and email address).

Some great sports betting apps to get started include Bet365, Betfair, and Unibet.

The next step is to start surfing the sports betting sections of these casinos – you’ll want to see what types of events they offer bets on! The most popular ones include football-related matches (pick a team you think will win), tennis tournaments, boxing fights, and much more.

There’s always an event going on somewhere in the world – find out which one takes your fancy and place a bet or two.

The difficulty of success: 8/10

It technically is very easy to sports bet. It is just very challenging to earn a full-time income as a digital nomad through sports betting.

13. Join Online Focus and Research Groups

Another great way to earn money and become a full-time traveler is to get paid to answer questions about a company’s products and services.

If you look hard enough, you can find companies that will pay upwards of 100 dollars per hour for you to have a conversation with them about their various services.

If you are looking for a great list of companies that provide these opportunities, check out this great article.

The difficulty of success: 2/10

This is super simple to do, but takes a lot of work to actually earn a full-time income.

14. Become an Online Bookkeeper

Everyone who has a business needs bookkeeping. And even if you are not a finance expert, you can do it quickly, thanks to online software. Some great bookkeeping software includes :

Basecamp is an excellent startup for those that want to get into bookkeeping in an auto-pilot manner. But it also has limits and doesn’t offer advanced features like accounting, payroll, or inventory management.

Another option would be Xero, as they are known worldwide with their easy interface, simple invoices, and reports. They do not, however, have apps (yet) for Android users.

QuickBooks Online does everything! It’s the most customizable solution but requires more effort than others on this list if you don’t know what you’re doing.

A good bookkeeper will save a business owner many hours of work and manage their finances better than they ever could, freeing up time to focus on other aspects of their business or personal life.

There are various places online where you can find freelance opportunities as an accountant, but this is an excellent list of companies that specialize in helping startups:

  • Virtualassistants.com (hiring virtual assistants)
  • Upwork (freelance platform for services like accounting)
  • Fiverr (gig marketplace for service providers who charge $25 per task)

The difficulty of success: 5/10

Bookkeeping is fairly straightforward thanks to modern technology. This does still require some accounting skills and can be challenging when working and traveling.

15. Become a Tutor for Hire

A great way to become a full-time traveler, teach!

Becoming a tutor for hire is a great way to make money while traveling. If you have any special skills, like being fluent in another language or knowing how to play an instrument, this could also be a fantastic option.

There are plenty of platforms that connect tutors with students looking for lessons, including:

  • Udemy (online course marketplace)
  • Nayantara Tutor Services
  • Chalk and Talk
  • Big Future Learning Center
  • Academic Partnerships LLC (assignments vary from training teachers in other countries on new teaching techniques to providing one hour individualized English courses)

Check out these platforms, and see if any of the teaching services are areas that you are experienced in.

If so, then set up your teaching account and begin working with your students!

The difficulty of success: 3/10

Are you fluent in English or a strong in a subject that students need help learning? Go, pick a city, and start tutoring.

16. Manage Someone’s Calendar

Business owners get extremely busy.

A task they love to outsource is having someone manage their Calendar for them!

If you are a talented individual with the skill of managing someone’s Calendar for them on an ongoing basis, this is likely an excellent opportunity for you. You can work with many different business owners and charge accordingly!

This will be perfect if you have experience organizing meetings – such as scheduling appointments and using online planning software.

Some platforms like Trello.com or Monday.com can significantly help with organization and helping manage calendars and teams.

The difficulty of success: 3/10

This is an easy thing to do but can be very time-consuming and does not always make for the best freelance or remote worker gig.

17. Optimize Website Loading Speed

BUT if you can do it well, you can charge a premium.

A crucial element for websites is how fast their pages load.

  • Website loading speed is crucial for websites, as people tend to leave if the pages take too long. Here are some tips for improving your website’s loading speeds:
  • Remove unnecessary scripts and plugins from your site which may slow down page load time (e.g., unused social media widgets)
  • Optimize images on the website by reducing their file size or converting them into GIF format
  • Reduce the number of requests that need to be made when visiting any given webpage by combining files like CSS code, JavaScript code, and HTML code into one big script instead of having separate ones all over the place

If everything made sense to you, then you are in business!

People will pay a ton of money if you can navigate websites and understand what is slowing them down.

I have personally spent hundreds of hours scrolling through my websites, trying to optimize them and ensure they are performing their best.

One plugin that I find works wonders is called Litespeed Caching.

The difficulty of success: 9/10

This is challenging to do because you need to be very skilled at web design. There are plugins that help, but to truly do this as a digital nomad full-time you need real developing skills.

18. Become an Online Recruiter or Headhunter

A great way to work from your laptop is to become a head hunter!

A headhunter is someone who finds candidates for a job and then tries to get them hired.

The downside is that it can be difficult, so you must have the right skill set to do well!

Some people use LinkedIn when they headhunt because more recruiters or companies are using their services than ever before.

In fact, according to LinkedIn’s latest study on recruitment success rates, hiring through professional networks like theirs has resulted in an average recruiter cost savings of $24K per hire! This is mainly due in part to reduced time-to-hire (TTTH). In other words: recruiters save tons of money by going online!

If you are looking to become an online recruiter, the best place to look for clients would be on sites like LinkedIn, GitHub, or even other job boards.

You might also want to try making your blog and put a call to action for people looking for jobs there.

Next, we will dive into online marketing jobs allowing you to become a full-time traveler.

The difficulty of success: 6/10

Learn how to troll on LinkedIn and you can successfully become a remote headhunter and work from anywhere in the world.

Online Marketing Jobs

Here are all jobs that require marketing skills to become a full-time digital nomad.

19. Facebook Advertising Agency

After the COVID pandemic shut the world down and forced thousands of businesses to shift their attention to online advertising, endless opportunities to become an ad specialist have been created.

A Facebook Advertising Agency provides an excellent opportunity for those with a skill set that can’t be learned overnight. You may not need any employees or make much money at first! But if you’re willing to invest time in learning how to market on Facebook, this could be your golden ticket. With Covid around, these aspects will only become more valuable.

Advantages:

1. Work from anywhere in the world that has a wifi connection

2. According to Hootsuite, Facebook has well over 2 billion users and is currently the 3rd most visited website in the world.. Also, these numbers are exponentially growing year by year.

3. You can charge a lot of money due to the high demand!

There are many ways in which you can charge for Facebook advertising.

The difficulty of success: 5/10

Facebook ads are not hard to learn, but they are hard to master.

20. Manage Social Media Accounts for Clients

One easy way to earn money is to manage business owners’ social media accounts.

Social media management is available for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

Especially if you are traveling, you can offer to take excellent images in places for people and post them to their accounts. Finding travel companies or people looking to grow a travel Instagram account can be a great way to use your travel to earn money.

On average, people can manage up to six accounts at a time, possibly more if they become skilled, efficient, and know what they are doing.

Below are some options:

  • Managing someone’s Facebook page – $20 per hour
  • Tweeting posts from other profiles – $0.02-$0.05 per tweet (depending on reach)
  • Posting inspirational memes daily on Instagram for one month – $180 total payment

Check out this article on how to use Instagram to generate leads for your social media management business.

The difficulty of success: 2/10

Managing social media accounts is a great starting point if you are looking for a side hustle or entry into the digital nomad life. It is easy, yet boring.

21. Start a TikTok Ad Agency

TikTok is one of the most popular social media platforms with over 800 million monthly active users.

As a result, there is a great opportunity for those who are willing to put in the work to become TikTok advertisers.

Advantages:

1. You can reach a large audience with your ads since TikTok has such a high number of users.

2. You can charge businesses a lot of money for your services since it is a new platform and not many people know how to use it yet for marketing purposes.

3. You can work from anywhere in the world as long as you have an internet connection!

The difficulty of success: 3/10

The reason this is low in difficulty is because of how new the platform is for businesses. When things are new, a true digital nomad will master it before the traditional business owners are even aware of it.

22. Build and Sell Websites Online

This is a fantastic way for anyone to earn a full-time income while traveling the world.

I have generated tens of thousands of dollars through this method alone. If you can learn how to build high-quality websites quickly and efficiently, you always have work.

Before I break it down, I recommend you learn how to set up a hosting account, purchase a domain and make sure you are using WordPress.

1. First, I look for a clean template that I want to use.

Some great places to find templates are Astra pro and Envato Elements.

I suggest finding a template in a particular niche. The niche doesn’t matter but try to make it something you are interested in.

2. Once you have selected a template, set up the website.

You will need a hosting account and domain name.

I recommend using WordPress as well as GoDaddy or A2 hosting.

3. Download elementor onto your WordPress website.

Elementor is 100% drag and drop, and they also have a free version of this plugin, although I recommend the pro version if you choose this route.

4. Find a company in your chosen niche that has a very bad website or no website at all.

Make a list of 20 of these companies.

5. Add a company’s logo onto your template site and either visit them or give them a call.

Show them the mock site you put together and offer to build the rest and sell it to them.

6. Rinse and repeat until someone is interested.

It takes me around 6-10 hours to fully set up and build a complete website for a client. I also charge about 3000 USD on average for a website.. and that is charging reasonably cheap!

The difficulty of success: 5/10

Building websites used to be a lot more difficult than it is now. Now, you have endless site building plugins and platforms that makes this a great opportunity for new and experienced digital nomads.

23. Buy and Sell Domain Names

With the increasing demand for an online presence, business owners value a domain name that matches their business and brand.

People are now buying domain names and selling them for a profit, and it can be a very lucrative business.

For example, if you buy the domain name for your friend’s company at $1000 – Then they decide that they are no longer interested in using it or want to change their website provider – you’re able to sell them back for up to $5000 depending on who is buying!

Marketplaces allow you to sell and buy domain names, so there are many options to make this a profitable business.

The only downside is that the marketplaces charge fees for each sale of a domain name! That means you need to be extra careful if you want to sell consistently and make money in the long run.

The difficulty of success: 5/10

This is all about being early to trends. If you can secure domains in an up and coming industry and hold onto them for a few months, you can have a very lucrative remote working business.

24. Manage a Podcast for Clients

This is another thing that I currently do.

I have a client from when I first launched my marketing business which now has a successful podcast.

I help them with everything from brainstorming topics to contacting potential guests and editing the podcasts into a finished product.

This is an ongoing project that I’m happy to do because it’s exciting and dynamic – something different every day! It also doesn’t feel like work, making working on this enjoyable.

The client pays me according to how many hours I bill him, so they don’t have any overhead costs associated with hiring someone full-time with consistent availability in their time zone.

To start podcast management as your side gig, you need technical skills (to edit audio), marketing expertise (for publicity purposes), and patience! This job takes about 20 hours per week.

The difficulty for success: 5/10

Podcasts are fairly straightforward but may seem complicated at first. They can also be time-consuming. This is on the medium side of difficulty for digital nomads and remote workers.

25. YouTube Advertising Campaigns

Another advertising agency that you can start is a YouTube ad business.

Building and creating YouTube ads is a relatively easy process.

All you need is Photoshop, an internet connection, and some creativity!

The trickiest part about starting this business is finding your first customers.

You can do so by signing up for free at YouTube ads – then creating YouTube ads offering your service. Become a product of your offering!

Ads on YouTube will be similar to the ad before a video starts playing when clicking “watch next,”- but they’ll only show up if someone has watched more than 30 seconds of a given video.

YouTube ads are significant and growing in popularity. There is a lot of free training online to show you how you can get started building a YouTube ad agency.

The difficulty of success: 6/10

YouTube is an effective marketing platform, but you also need high-quality video ads. This can be challenging when working with a remote business.

25. Google Ad Agency

Google ads are designed to make a company’s website or offer appear at the top of the google search.

Google ads are a great way to get your offer or website in front of the right people.

They are an entirely different skill than the other kinds of advertising agencies, and it is something that I tend to steer clear of. But if you can do them well, you have an excellent opportunity to generate some serious money while embracing the travel lifestyle.

The difficulty of success: 6/10

Google ads are an effective way to generate business leads, but they can be difficult to do successfully.

26. LinkedIn Advertising Agency

This is one of the fastest-growing social media platforms for businesses and something I would recommend looking into if you want to start a marketing agency.

Another benefit to LinkedIn advertising is the use of their powerful analytic tools.

These allow you to see how your campaigns perform in real-time while providing a full report on campaign success. This is great because it allows for peak performance when creating ads that work well with an individual’s interests.

In addition, LinkedIn has Sponsored InMail messages, which can help drip out information about your business without being too aggressive.

These messages will go straight to someone who would be interested in hearing from you (based on who they connect with most). You can customize these messages according to user preferences- making them more likely to pay attention than if you send bulk emails or instant messages elsewhere.

Master LinkedIn lead generation, and you will have plenty of work while you embrace the digital nomad lifestyle.

The difficulty of success: 4/10

LinkedIn is newer than alternative social media platforms which means people still do not know how to properly use it. This is an opportunity for any tech-savvy digital nomad.

27. Email Campaign Manager

Email marketing is still incredibly effective.

The problem is that it takes time, attention, and effort to do well.

It’s not great for small business owners who can’t afford (or don’t have the time) to spend all their hours in front of an email client!

This is where you come in.

With tools like ActiveCampaign, you can create professional-looking emails without requiring any design skills on your behalf- saving both money and hours. These are just some of the features:

Automated follow-up messages based on user behavior – if someone visits but does not subscribe, they will receive one type of message, while if they sign up, then another set and so forth.

You get this functionality right out of the box without needing complex coding.

Utilize online software to save time for yourself, build templates and funnels and then copy and paste for various clients.

The difficulty of success: 3/10

Running email campaigns is easy and important. It is just time-consuming and boring for the most part. This is still however, a great way to get started as a full-time digital nomad.

28. Set-up Funnel Campaigns

A marketing funnel is taking a customer through the buying journey.

Marketing funnels come in different shapes and sizes, but the basic premise is that a prospect moves through an ever-narrowing series of steps, from awareness to consideration to purchase.

A conversion funnel looks at how many people enter your marketing funnel (awareness), how many make it past each stage (consideration), and what percentage complete their journey with a sale or lead capture (purchase).

When setting up campaigns for conversions, you must understand which step they’re on. You might use very different messaging depending on whether someone is just browsing around, considering becoming customers, or currently ready to buy products or services.

An excellent website for setting up different funnel campaigns is drop funnels or click funnels.

Of course, if you choose to set up funnels for clients, there does need to be some way to generate the leads at the top of the funnel.

So if you choose this method, I would also recommend learning one of the marketing agency skills.

The difficulty of success: 6/10

Using artificial intelligence writing software you can write landing page scripts in record time. Master AI writing, and you can master funnels.

29. Affiliate Marketing

This one is all about finding the right product for you to promote!

Affiliate marketing is promoting another company’s product for them and being rewarded for your efforts.

A very common thing that you will see is companies with a large traffic volume will offer various products on their websites. These products have a link specific to the person doing the promotion, so they get a percentage of the sale.

If you are doing affiliate marketing full-time and have an affiliate program with Amazon or eBay, then the products could be anything that is being sold on those sites.

Something essential before you begin affiliate marketing is finding a profitable niche. Here is an excellent guide to finding a profitable affiliate marketing niche.

Check out this link if you are looking for some affiliate programs with high commissions.

Or, if you can build your website, there will also be many opportunities.

You need to ensure that when people click from your site onto theirs and purchase something, you get paid!

Make sure they mention whatever referral code of yours before any purchasing, so this happens automatically at checkout time. This way, no one gets left out 🙂 Happy travels!

The difficulty of success: 7/10

This is one of the most common ways to earn additional income, but challenging to earn a full-time income for remote workers. You need products with healthy margins and strong ad campaigns to do well in this space.

30. Run Referral Campaigns for Clients

Gamification is an incredible way to generate income and sales for a business.

Air B and B has an excellent referral program. Their referral program works because if you refer someone to air b and b, and they join using your “affiliate link, ” then you earn money when they book a trip.

Here are some easy-to-do referral campaigns you can set up for clients:

  • Giving away an iPad as a prize when someone signs up, they can give one to their friends/family members, who in turn enter their email address into the form to receive updates about the company’s latest blog posts to be eligible.
  • Giveaways that allow people entering them to collect points which will lead to more chances of winning something (make sure these contests don’t last too long).

Great software for building referral programs is viral-loops.com.

The difficulty of success: 4/10

Thanks to software, running referral campaigns is fairly easy. Help clients set them up, and you can be fully remote while earning a respectable income.

31. Build Client YouTube Channels

This is another one on the list that I personally still manage.

If you have video editing skills, managing a YouTube channel for a client is an effortless task.

If you want someone to provide you with the content, you have to clip the videos, make sure the audio sounds good, and create a thumbnail image, then start managing and growing other people’s YouTube channels!

If you can show that you have a successful track record in growing YouTube channels, it can be a lucrative way for you to travel the world.

The difficulty of success: 6/10

This is much easier than building your own channel, but you also need to have a client willing to put in the work.

32. Build Your YouTube Channel

It isn’t necessarily difficult to build a YouTube channel, and the challenging part is monetizing it to a point where you can become a full-time digital nomad.

To build a successful YouTube channel, you need to be creative, funny, or have something unique that will help your channel stand out from the rest.

If you want to increase subscribers on YouTube for free and don’t mind working hard, then one way is by doing a lot of collaborations with other successful channels.

If you have a blog or written articles, there are now ways that you can use AI to convert your written articles into videos that you can use to grow your channel.

There are also many ways to make money through ad revenue and sponsorships, which can offer full-time digital nomads more security financially, but that usually happens once you reach 20,000+ subscribers.

Check out our article on why digital nomads should build their own audience.

The difficulty of success: 7/10

It is challenging to entertain people enough to continually return to your YouTube channel. You also need to know how to film, edit and upload videos and be consistent with it. This takes time to build but can be a great way to travel the world and get paid while doing it.

33. Build a Subscription Facebook Group

One of the most straightforward ideas I have seen that generates nearly six figures a month is through running a paid Facebook group.

I do not remember the exact name of this account (so I apologize to that person and will use a different industry), however, this one person does have a monthly surprise guest come into the group and provide an hour-long teaching session.

This is SO SIMPLE!

Let me break it down for you.

Pick a popular yet unique niche and create a Facebook group.

Optimize the Facebook description and charge a very low fee to join the group (7-9 dollars per month)

Find experts in this niche or industry and ask if they will provide live training for the group. At first, there will be many no’s, but there will be some yes’s. Stay consistent and stay with it, and your guests will get better over time

Continue to invite people to the group, encourage conversation and engagement and make some easy money!

The difficulty of success: 2/10

This is a simple way that you can generate thousands of dollars monthly from anywhere in the world. You want an easy job to become a full-time digital nomad? This is it.

34. Become an Etsy Seller

Etsy is a popular site for buying and selling all sorts of items, from paintings to clothing. People have found a way to make money buying and selling items from Etsy by becoming a seller.

Here’s how you do it:

Become an Etsy seller by signing up, reading, and following the guidelines set out on the site, uploading photos of items you are selling (or taking pictures with your phone), writing descriptions about what you’re offering for sale, listing prices in USD or Euros and start promoting!

You’ll need to pay 20 cents per item sold and a monthly fee, but this is still one way to make some money while traveling full-time.

The difficulty of success: 6/10

Etsy has millions of items on there. You need to know which items are undervalued and then resell them at a higher price. This can be challenging for a digital nomad to earn a full-time income.

35. Buy and Sell Things on eBay

This takes skill and a nose to know what is trending and what will increase in value.

However, if you can master the skill of winning auctions on eBay for products you know are underpriced, you can have a lucrative business.

  • You will need some initial capital, an eye for trends, and a nose for products with potential
  • A profitable business model is to buy the item at auction on eBay and then resell it at retail price

The difficulty of success: 4/10

If you understand value in a specific niche, this is not very challenging to do and you often do not need to see the product.

36. Buy and Sell Things on the Facebook Marketplace

Facebook marketplace is designed for people to buy and sell things.

Overview:

  • Sellers can list their items for free
  • Buyers are charged a $0.99 transaction fee if they purchase an item through the marketplace, but this is still much cheaper than eBay fees in most cases.

Facebook marketplace provides plenty of opportunities to get your hands on undervalued items that you can sell for more money. Often people do not need things and just want them off their hands, so if you can find some hidden gems, you can flip them quickly for a lot more money.

The difficulty of success: 4/10

Buying and selling things on the Facebook marketplace is an easy concept, you just need to find the deals.

37. Take Free Items From the Facebook Marketplace and Sell Them

Did you know there is a section on the Facebook marketplace for free items?

People are constantly giving away items they no longer need. Often, people have just purchased the latest and greatest item without using the previous model or version.

There is especially some hidden value in more essential items.

If you have access to a truck or can afford to rent one for a few days, people sometimes give away hot tubs, T.V.s, couches, fridges, and things you can sell for hundreds of dollars.

All you need is a bit of lifting power and some transportation!

The difficulty of success: 1/10

One of the easiest ways to make money online is to pick up and sell free items! A very simple and basic concept, but free marketplaces exist all over the world.

38. Buy and Sell Trading Cards

This is another trend that is at an all-time high.

People like Logan Paul and Gary Vaynerchuk have exploded the card collecting industry.

If you have some old baseball cards or Pokemon cards at home, you may want to dust them off and see what they are now worth.

For example, a LeBron James rookie card recently sold for a record-breaking 5.2 million dollars!! Yes, 5.2 million!

Also, if you are like me and have once upon a time held countless of these in your hands, a 1st Edition Charizard in perfect condition can now sell for well over $200,000.

If only the 9-year-old versions of ourselves had held onto those for dear life… Oh well! Here’s to hoping you may have been fortunate enough to have some cards of high value still!

Once you identify which cards you have, make sure you do thorough research on each card!

Once you have done that and are ready to sell them, there are many ways you can do so.

You can either take them into a card store and see if they will give you cash or post the cards on an online marketplace like eBay. But be careful because plenty of scammers out there want to steal your old sports memorabilia from you!

The difficulty of success: 5/10

You definitely need to have a background in sports or whatever cards you are wanting to sell. This is also in high demand and may cost some money to buy any cards of value.

39. Manage Facebook Groups for Clients

We briefly went over an excellent strategy for starting your own Facebook group for money, but another thing you can do is simply manage a group for business owners.

That consists of ensuring high engagement, possibly running advertisements to grow the Facebook group, and making sure no profanity or inappropriate comments are posted.

And if you want to make even more money doing this, if you can find a way to monetize this group, then clients will continually pay you and increase your revenue.

The issue with Facebook groups is maintaining engagement and coming up with new and stimulating conversation points.

If you can manage this and stay organized, this can be a significant step to becoming a full-time digital nomad.

The difficulty of success: 3/10

Managing a Facebook group is very easy. You just need to spend a few hours each day interacting with members. Simple way to work a few hours per day as a digital nomad.

40. Grow and Sell Email Lists

Email lists are still a proven way to promote services to an audience.

If you have no interest in writing emails and building email campaigns, one thing you can do is grow email lists and sell them to businesses for money.

All you need for this is a CRM, a lead magnet, and an opt-in form!

I have found it very successful in growing email lists by running quiz ad campaigns.

If someone commits to taking the entire quiz but needs to enter their email to get the results, you are getting that email more often than not.

Great software for creating high converting quizzes is outgrow.co

The difficulty of success: 7/10

It is challenging to create an engaging email list. However, there is a lot a lot of value in it. If you know how to build email lists, you can sell them for thousands of dollars and become a full-time digital nomad.

41. Influencer Marketing

There can be many kinds of influencer marketing campaigns. A brand ambassador campaign is one of the more common, where you get paid to post about a product on your social media.

Influencer campaigns have been proven to be highly successful and are used by major brands like Nike or Red Bull and startups launching their first products. These companies can reach millions of people with just one influencer marketing strategy.

People want advice from others who they feel are similar enough for them to trust -This tactic allows brands/startups an easy way in which they can market themselves

The difficulty of success: 7/10

It is very difficult to become an influencer yourself. But leveraging people with followings and pairing them up with businesses can be a great way for you to become a full-time traveler.

Ecommerce Businesses

Next up is eCommerce businesses that are perfect for remote workers and digital nomads.

become a digital nomad through ecommerce

42. Dropshipping Business

This is the first business I have ever started, so I hold it dear to my heart…

Dropshipping is the process of selling products online without actually holding the inventory.

So what you would do, is you would find a product you want to sell and place it on your website.

You would then drive traffic to your website.

If someone purchases the product from your store, you buy it online at a lower price than you sold it for.

That company will ship the product directly to your customer.

Therefore, you never had to store, see, or ship the product.

The business model works by allowing small businesses to sell goods at a low overhead cost. Still, it also means they do not need an expensive warehouse or other storage facilities.

All they need to start their dropshipping store is a computer and Internet connection.

A great place to find dropshipping products is on Aliexpress. Aliexpress is similar to amazon, but they allow you to buy one-off items for very cheap and will ship anywhere in the world.

Dropshipping is a great way to get introduced to nomad life. However, there are some things to be cautious of.

1st, you never see the product, so quality control is tough to manage.

2nd, there are often very long shipping times, so If you are competing against Amazon’s single-day delivery.. good luck!

To conclude, dropshipping can be a great starting point for you if you want to make a few hundred dollars daily.

The difficulty of success: 4/10

Dropshipping takes a lot of skills to earn a full-time income. However, if you find a winning product, it is one of the easier ways to get started in eCommerce.

43. Start a Print-on-demand Clothing Store

Another great e-commerce option that utilizes the dropshipping business model is starting your print-on-demand clothing store.

Printing on demand is a great way to start because it creates a business with no upfront costs.

But before you start your clothing store, there are a few things to be aware of:

  • Dropshipping and print-on-demand clothes stores typically have high product returns, so make sure the niche market has good customer service (less than 50% return rates)
  • Focus on offering products made by small artisanal brands over large manufacturers since they often provide better quality control, equating to fewer returned items.
  • It can be challenging to find a reliable manufacturer that offers print-on-demand and high-quality products.

If you want to start with a simple and reliable manufacturer, I would suggest something like Printful, Printify, or similar companies.

All you need is some designs, a Shopify account, and one of those plugins, and you will be ready to build your clothing empire while you travel full time.

The difficulty of success: 7/10

The reason is on the more challenging end for remote jobs, is because of the extreme competition. However, if you can find a way to separate yourself from the competition, this can be a great job to become a full-time traveler.

44. Amazon F.B.A

Amazon F.B.A. stands for Fulfillment by Amazon and is a service that lets you sell products on Amazon. Its concept is relatively simple.

You sell products, and Amazon takes care of the shipping and handling.

The first thing to know about Amazon F.B.A. is that most of the time, it will cost more than the typical “Amazon Associates” program – but its benefits are better too!

For example, if you want to make money by driving traffic from your site or social media followers over to Amazon and then getting paid for any purchases, this might not be what you’re looking for.

With affiliate marketing, if people buy something before clicking away, we’ll still see some commission even though the customer didn’t come from our website’s link.

But with F.B.A… We have no control until after someone clicks through our product page (and buys).

For more information on Amazon F.B.A., check out this great article.

The difficulty of success: 7/10

Starting an Amazon F.B.A business is challenging to earn a full-time income and takes various skills.

45. Build and Sell an Online Course

This is easily our favorite form of e-commerce business.

Selling learning material and online courses is more popular now than ever.

All that you need to start your online course is an area of expertise (it can be anything. People have become millionaires teaching others how to jump higher), some basic video editing skills, and an audience to sell to.

Any skill can now be monetized as the new way of learning is through online educational platforms.

Why do we like online courses so much?

Creating and selling online courses or programs (known as info-products) is much more profitable than selling tangible products online.

Here is why:

  • There are no product costs. Once you build it, you own it
  • There are no broken products
  • There are no shipping fees
  • You are in complete control of your asset
  • You control the quality of your product
  • You can charge anything you want
  • You can set a subscription fee
  • You can get other people to sell it for you

And the list goes on and on.

If you want to learn how to build an online course using only artificial intelligence software to save you time and money, check out this article.

The difficulty of success: 4/10

One of the easiest eCommerce models for digital nomads, as you do not need any physical products.

46. Setup Shopify Stores for Clients

This is something that we used to do in college.

Kevin and I found success building our e-commerce stores, and other students started to take notice, so they paid us to set one up for them!

Most people don’t know about using a platform such as Shopify. You can easily select a nice template without needing any technical skills.

Shopify also has an incredible support team to help with any questions.

You can find brick-and-mortar businesses that are not yet online and offer to take their stores online for them.

You can also charge thousands of dollars for this service and get a monthly retainer to manage the store!

This is one of the easier and more profitable ways to enter the nomad life.

The difficulty of success: 4/10

Setting up Shopify stores is easy once you learn what you are doing. However, for a lot of businesses who are new to the online world this can seem overwhelming.

47. Sell Sports Jerseys Online

Something that you can do is sell sports jerseys online!

Various websites allow you to buy cheap or knock-off sports memorabilia (make sure you do not claim it is real and know the copy-right laws on this).

Nostalgia is a booming industry. If you can find throwback or retro sports apparel and sell them online, you can make plenty of money.

The difficulty of success: 5/10

If you can find the right jerseys and are a creative marketer, dropshipping jerseys can be a lucrative way to become a full-time digital nomad.

48. Start a Subscription Business

Starting a subscription model business is a major trend and for a good reason.

One of the most challenging parts of online advertising is keeping the cost of customer acquisition low.

This means that however much you spend on advertisements, you need to be earning more money in profit.

However, if a customer commits to a monthly fee, then over time, the cost to acquire that customer drastically decreases.

Some subscription businesses that have done incredibly well are dollar shave club, frank and oak, and the series.

Here is a list of some great subscription businesses to get your creative juices flowing.

The difficulty of success: 4/10

There are endless subscription businesses that you can start, and if you know how to market, they can be one of the easiest ways to earn significant money while traveling the world.

49. Re-sell Clothing Online

We have all thrown out last season’s sweaters or t-shirts before. Why not turn those into a money-making machine?

You can easily take these used clothes and sell them in places like the Facebook marketplace, eBay, Etsy, etc.

OR

You can simply build your online clothing store.

Swing by value village or winners or other second-hand clothing stores. I am sure you can find some hidden goodies that you can buy cheaply and sell for much more online.

Comparing Ecommerce Options.

Our top choice for e-commerce business models is to create and sell your online course. The reason for this is there are no product costs, no shipping costs, you can charge on a monthly recurring price, and you completely control your future!

Our second choice would be a dropshipping or print-on-demand e-commerce store, especially if you are just starting.

Over time you want to build a brand, and as you do so, you may want to look into other options.

The difficulty of success: 3/10

This is not very difficult to do. However, it may be difficult to earn a lot of money. If you have a knack for fashion, this can help you become a full-time digital nomad.

Photography/Videography

Next, let’s take a look into how you can make money as a full-time traveler through Photography/Videography:

become a travel photographer

50. Sell Stock Footage and Videos

Since you are planning on traveling, you may as well take images and videos in places that other people can not be.

You record high-quality videos or images, place them in online marketplaces, and anytime someone decides to use your content, you make money.

There are plenty of platforms these days that can sell your stock footage.

Here are a few:

This is a solid option because you will take many photos and videos while traveling. Why not get paid for that?

The difficulty of success: 7/10

Let’s face it, this one is challenging to actually earn an income, but it is easy to execute if you are travelling. For that reason, we have given this a 7/10 on difficulty level.

51. Create Travel Videos for Clients

This is one of my favorite options on the list and something that we frequently try and do!

Creating travel videos for clients is an excellent option because you will get to travel for free, and someone else will pay your expenses!

The best part is that the video company may even pay you a small fee, so it does not cost them anything.

This can be an easy full-time income if they are paying you. One good example of these companies is AirBnB – They have been hiring videographers to create videos with their customers worldwide.

When we traveled throughout Latin America last year, we would shoot fun little clips at night or right before bed where I would interview him about what had happened during his day. And then edit those clips into short 20-second snippets that AirBnB could use for promotional content.

Someone who I would highly recommend learning from is Parker Walbeck.

Parker has a course that shows you everything you need to know to learn travel videography and even dives into how to land clients when you travel.

Check out this article on how you can creating viral videos for digital nomads!

The difficulty of success: 5/10

This is something that is easy to gain clients and make money, however, you need to be a talented editor or videographer to execute it properly.

52. Take Brand Photos for Clients

When you are traveling, you can make money through photography.

You can photograph what you’re doing for a brand (for example, if you are traveling and eating at restaurants or using travel services) or even take photos of people in your city.

If the client loves your work, they might hire you again when it is time to update their site. You could also offer this service to local companies when they ask about taking pictures of their store.

All businesses need high-quality images, and there are many ways that you can use this to your advantage while you are traveling.

Another great thing you can do to capitalize on brand photography is to find clients worldwide who have startups and want high-quality images for their social media.

Come up with creative ideas and some props, and you can have clients on all continents paying for your travels.

The difficulty of success: 4/10

All businesses need photos. If you have a high-quality camera and know how to market yourself a bit, this is a fairly easy business to earn income while travelling.

53. Real Estate Photography

There are millions of property managers worldwide, and all of them are trying to fill their accommodations.

The best way to do that is online!

For properties to book online, they need images of these properties. I hope you see where I am going with this.

There are essentially two main times that property managers will want photos taken.

1) when the house is first ready and staged to be rented out,

And 2) when the property is being sold or has been renovated.

Do research, find expensive houses with poor photos online, and contact them!

The difficulty of success: 4/10

Similar to brand photography, there is a large client list ready to pay money. You just need to know how to use a camera, and how to find remote jobs.

54. Property Photos for Luxury Villas

If you have a drone and a pilot license, taking real estate property images is a great way to make money.

Contact the real estate agent and offer your services, or go online through websites like AirPano or DJI Phantom Drones.

The best time of day to take property photographs is during the golden hour when daylight balances with sunset’s warm glow – between approximately one hour after sunrise and two hours before sunset.

But if you want,/need photographs taken at any time, then use what light is available from existing sources during those specific times of the day.

Here are some fantastic tips on photography lighting: Photographer Lighting Course Review by Sandy Puc’ – A professional photographer reviews various courses on improving your photos.

This gives you a unique and competitive edge in the travel photography game. Although it is more popular now than ever, it is still more difficult for property managers to get drone footage than normal footage.

You must be cautious of the different drone piloting laws and restrictions in various countries.

For a list of drone guidelines, check out this link

The difficulty of success: 2/10

This is not a challenging task. All you really need is a camera and email to contact endless property managers. A simple way to either earn some income as a digital nomad or get free accommodation.

55. Property Videos for Luxury Real Estate

Okay, so this is how we travel the world and stay in multi-million dollar mansions for free.

We call hundreds of property managers and offer them a promo video of their properties if we can stay there for free. It is that simple.

We also have a course on how to do this step by step if you are interested.

We will teach you everything you need about videography, photography, editing, how to find clients, and how to land clients in your dream destinations.

We also walk you through how to do it with nothing more than a high-quality iPhone and an action camera.

The difficulty of success: 6/10

This is where the money can be made. You need to know video editing and marketing, but is a great gig for digital nomads who want remote jobs or free accommodation.

56. Promo Videos for Products

One thing you can do is reach out to companies and inform them of where you are traveling to. Offer to take some videos of you using their products while traveling.

The perks to this are they will often provide you with free products and can also pay some money.

For example, if you are going to be in a tropical destination and using sunscreen, shoot videos of yourself while applying the product. This way, companies can use these promo videos on their website or as an advertisement for television.

Another example, and this is something we did in Costa Rica, was to film a commercial of you driving in a car. Show the promotion to the car brand and ask if they want to purchase it from you.

The difficulty of success: 7/10

It is more difficult to find clients for this type of work. However, if you are an accomplished videographer, promo videos for clients can be a great way for a digital nomad to earn a full-time income.

57. 360-degree Videos for Real Estate

The latest technology is 360-degree footage, which is becoming increasingly popular in real estate.

The idea is that if someone wants to buy a house, the area doesn’t speak for itself. This video will give the buyer an immersive experience of what it’ll be like.

The best part is action cameras such as the insta360 pro are very cheap and offer high-quality 360-degree footage.

This is what we use, and it does the trick for us.

The difficulty of success: 3/10

This is surprisingly one of the easiest strategies. 360 degree cameras require almost no new skills, just the right camera for the job.

58. 360-degree Stock Video

Again, you need to stand out if you want to sell your footage online.

What we do, is now take 360-degree drone footage. When writing this article, it is still a reasonably new service, so hop on it while you can!

We currently use an F.P.V. knight X drone, which costs around 700 dollars USD and fits perfectly with the insta 360 camera.

The challenge of this option is that it takes some skill to fly F.P.V. drones, and it does have a decent startup cost.

To conclude the videography and photography section, this can be an incredible way to earn a full-time income while traveling.

The difficulty of success: 6/10

While it is easy to record the footage, it takes a lot of sales to earn an income with stock footage. There is potential if you have high-quality content though. This could be a fun option for digital nomads and remote workers.

Writing jobs – Become a freelance writer

Freelance writing is one of our favorite ways to travel and get paid as a full-time digital nomad.

59. Travel Blogging

This, of course, is one of our favorites on the list, as you are currently reading a travel blog.

Learning how to monetize the words you write is essential.

You can use a revenue-sharing program like Adsense, or you could sell advertising space on the site, which will generate income straight away. In addition, there are many other ways that you can make money through blogging, such as creating affiliate links and sponsored posts.

Being a travel blogger is no walk in the park, and it takes time and effort. You will need to find the suitable topics that generate the most interest and be consistent in your posts, which can take a lot of time.

However, suppose you do decide to turn it into a full-time career. In that case, you could make money through speaking engagements at events or workshops worldwide and writing e-books on related travel topics such as digital nomadism.

To learn how to set up your Travel Blog, check out this article: How to set up your travel blog.

The difficulty of success: 3/10

Traditionally, this was a challenging way to earn a full-time income for remote workers and digital nomads. Fortunately, there are now AI writing tools that make this process 10X faster and more effective.

60. Landing Page Writing

A business owner must write optimized copy and content for landing pages. With increasing competition online, copywriting has to be creative and purposeful.

What landing pages are, is a page on your website that has been optimized with SEO keywords to direct traffic from search engines.

The goal of a landing page is to generate leads for the business owner by converting visitors into clients or customers by providing them with information about their products and services. Landing pages are often used with other marketing strategies such as P.P.C. advertising.

Writing a landing page copy is perfect for you if you can sell through your writing.

The difficulty of success: 4/10

Again, this is a great way to leverage AI writing software to earn consistent income while traveling. The more challenging part is finding the clients.

61. Writing Advertisement Copy

To successfully do this, you need some practice and some training.

There are millions of advertisements every day, so your goal is to find a way to deliver that message that will stand out.

One of the best ways to do that is through writing clever and creative advertisements.

Writing copy for advertisements is a valuable skill that can be used in many different industries.

You will have to combine your creativity and writing skills into one package if you want to succeed as an advertiser.

The difficulty of success: 4/10

Every business needs advertising copy, and many do not even know where to begin. Fortunately, you can also use AI writing software to write ad copy! This is a great way to become a full-time traveler and digital nomad.

62. E-book Writing

Writing e-books can be another profitable way to earn money while on the road.

E-books are a great way to make good money because they can be written and published quickly.

One of the most common reasons a business owner would want an e-book is to get the word out about their product or service.

E-books are an excellent way to do that and potentially make money simultaneously.

You can create your e-book on any topic, but choosing something related to what you know well is best because people will find value in it and purchase it.

For example, suppose I am traveling full-time as an entrepreneur. In that case, my e-book could be how to start up travel businesses while traveling full-time, so there would be more than one reason someone may want to buy this book from me – they might also like advice on starting a business!

Look on places like Fiverr or Upwork to see if anyone is looking to buy your e-book or if you can write one for their specific business.

The difficulty of success: 3/10

You guessed it. AI writing. You can now write e-books of 10,000+ words using AI writing. Plus, people will pay well-written dollars for a well-written eBook. To learn how to write an eBook in less than 24 hours using AI, check out this article: Writing an eBook With AI

62. Article Writing for Magazines

Writing articles for magazines can be one of the more lucrative forms of writing.

How to get started?

  • Check out article writing markets to see what types of articles are in demand
  • You can also look for opportunities on job boards or find an editor at a magazine and offer your services as a freelance writer.
  • The more specific the niche, the better your chance of getting gigs – so if you’re very knowledgeable in a particular subject, pursue it!

If you are a strong enough writer, you can potentially earn around $1.00 per word!

Of course, this depends on the niche and the level of the magazine.

The difficulty of success: 8/10

This is a much more difficult gig to land for freelancers, but it pays better than other writing jobs. AI writing can assist you in magazine articles, but often you have to add your own flare to the content to land these remote jobs.

63. Product Description Writing

Writing product descriptions for various products is another writing opportunity if you want to work from the laptop while on the move.

A lot more goes into product descriptions than you may think, though!

You have to be able to sell and show the product’s value immediately and ensure that it is properly optimized to rank on whichever search engine the product is on.

Some examples of product descriptions include amazon products, Shopify stores, and any online product offering.

The difficulty of success: 5/10

There are specific recipes on the AI writing platform that is built for product descriptions. This would be a lower difficulty rating, but you need a lot of jobs to make this your full-time income while traveling.

64. Grant Writing Jobs

Government grants are a great way to work from anywhere in the world with internet access.

Kevin and I wrote grants on the side for about one year and made quite a lot of money. If you can show that your grants get approved, companies have nothing to lose in hiring you.

With this, there are two options.

1) Try to get hired by the government.

The government is always looking for people who can write great grant descriptions to help them achieve their funding goals and deadline requirements.

Usually, you have a lot of time to complete these, but there are deadlines which means you will need to schedule your writing assignments into your day, so they get done on time!

These tasks typically pay $30-40 per hour – not too bad considering the hours involved (sometimes only 30 minutes).

One site I recommend checking out if this interests you is Grantspace.org, where I found my first ever grant researching job and editing ones.

2) try to get hired by companies looking for extra funding.

Government grants are essentially financial awards that the government hands out for various reasons.

There are numerous grants available for businesses that are looking for additional funding.

Some available grants include :

  • U.S. Department of Agriculture grants for small businesses
  • S.B.A. loans and grants for business expansion or new startups
  • Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Grants from the National Institute of Health (N.I.H.).

If you’re looking for a head start on your research, I recommend checking out this site about how to find government funding – “Government Grant Search.”

This excellent resource breaks down what type of grant might be best suited for your needs. They have answers, too!

There are two ways you can charge when grant writing.

  1. You can charge hourly at a premium price since you hold all the risk and time invested. Kevin and I charged $70/ hour.
  2. You can charge less hourly but ask for a percentage of the grant money if approved. Kevin and I would charge $35/hour and ask for 15% of the awarded funds.

The difficulty of success: 8/10

This is very technical writing that requires a lot of research. However, if you can do this well, you can earn well over six figures per year as a freelance grant writer.

65. Ghostwrite Books

First of all, what is ghostwriting?

Ghostwriting is when a professional writer takes on the task of writing for someone else.

Ghostwriters are typically hired to write books and speeches representing another person’s thoughts or work.

Ghostwriting can also be done by an established author who is asked to collaborate with another writer. For example, JK Rowling wrote the screenplay for Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them and a few other Harry Potter scripts under her name despite not having much screenwriting experience before this point in her career.

Many business owners out there have always wanted to write a book but may not have the time or skill set to deliver a high-quality product.

All you need to ghostwrite for someone is strong writing skills, a laptop, and open lines of communication with the person you are writing for.

The difficulty of success: 5/10

This can be easy, or it can be difficult. If you are properly using AI tools for your business, then this is a great avenue to you becoming a full-time digital nomad.

66. Help Write and Edit Resumes

People are having a challenging time finding jobs these days!

If you know how resumes work and what it takes for someone to get hired, start a business writing resumes for people!

Writing resumes for people can be super simple if you map out a template you use every time.

Essentially, you must plug in the new information and name once you have built the template.

Simple!

The difficulty of success: 6/10

This requires a lot of clients to earn a full-time income while traveling. If you like resumes, however, this can be a nice way to boost your income while on the road.

67. Translate Articles

Yes, Google Translate is a thing.

However, it is not always accurate, and if you do not speak the language, there is no way of knowing how accurate it is.

If you know multiple languages, then first off, I am very jealous, and second off, use it to earn you some extra money!

The world is becoming increasingly globalized, so marketing material often needs to reach audiences around the globe.

With that comes various languages!

Contact businesses looking to expand or are already global and offer to rewrite all of their content in a second language!

The difficulty of success: 3/10

If you can speak and write in multiple languages, you are in business. This is in high demand and can make for the perfect job for a digital nomad.

68. Become a Journalist

A journalist researches, reports and writes articles for a newspaper, magazine, or blog.

Anyone good at research can do this job!

However, you must also be skilled in writing engaging content people want to read and share!

And suppose you’re more into online journalism rather than offline. In that case, there are many opportunities, too, especially with blogging platforms like Medium, where anyone can post their work without formal qualifications or experience.

The difficulty of success: 8/10

You need to be highly skilled to earn a full-time income as a journalist.

69. SEO Writer

S.E.O. stands for search engine optimization.

This determines how a website will rank on the search engine’s results page.

Typically, this is done by optimizing meta tags and content on a site to increase that page’s relevance using specific keywords and ensuring the site links out to other relevant pages.

Any piece of content that is written and online can be optimized for S.E.O.

Whether it is landing pages, websites, articles, product descriptions, YouTube descriptions, the list goes on and on.

You can find work anywhere online if you can master the art of optimizing content to rank higher on Google.

To find clients, you can also use tools like S.E.M. Rush to make reports of a website’s ranking.

Show them where they are and what your S.E.O. optimization will do for them.

The difficulty of success: 3/10

Use AI writing and combine it with Surfer SEO. Simple as that.

70. Start a Paid Newsletter

A paid newsletter is a great way to generate revenue, but you must have highly appealing content that people desperately want to read!

The fact that there are millions of articles posted every day online makes it that much more challenging to start a paid newsletter. If someone needs information, you can almost always find it online.

Starting a paid newsletter can earn you a lot of money; however, if you are writing about a particular niche or have a tribe or audience who follows you very closely and wants to hear from you.

If you are an influencer of any sort or have achieved high credentials and are respected, you may want to look into starting a paid newsletter.

A great example is National Geographic.

They have a free and a paid section for their blogs and articles.

The difficulty of success: 4/10

If you know how to grow an email list, this is a great option for any remote worker or digital nomad. Monthly payments are what it is all about and you can use the AI writing strategies to hammer out daily newsletters.

71. Write Quizzes for Companies

I am sure we have all seen those catchy headlines that go like this:

“What Harry Potter House do you belong to?”

“What does your heart health say about your age? Find out!”

“If You Can’t Pass This Quiz, You Shouldn’t Have Graduated From High School.”

These are quizzes that get millions and millions of clicks and views every single year.

However, a lot of businesses don’t use that same model to drive traffic to their companies or websites.

Quizzes are one of the best top-of-funnel lead-generating tools if done correctly.

Use them to collect emails, gain traffic and grow businesses!

Kevin and I like to use a quiz website called outgrow.co.

I suggest you learn how to properly make and optimize quizzes and then sell them to various businesses looking to increase their lead generation strategies.

A great website for looking at thousands of quizzes is playbuzz.com!

The difficulty of success: 6/10

Quizzes can be very beneficial for businesses. You just have to convince them of that.

72. Writing Sales Copy and Scripts

So many business owners can generate leads but have no clue how to sell them!

If you are an expert in sales, you can write sales scripts for various businesses and offer your services as a freelancer.

We have an incredible sales lady who always does this for people!

Most recently, one of the cardiologists we do marketing for needed help selling his new Concierge program.

So he paid our sales rep to listen to the sales call and write scripts about what to say in various situations.

The cardiologist is an incredible doctor, but it was not dull making sales, so it is new to that arena.

I find there is a tremendous opportunity to write sales scripts for coaches, consultants, and any highly educated professional who is not familiar with selling!

Such as doctors and dentists.

The difficulty of success: 4/10

This used to take a lot of skill and hard work… But as you guessed, AI writing is here to save the day. Become an AI writing digital nomad and all your problems will disappear.

73. Podcast Writing

Podcasts are the latest and most significant form of content, and millions of podcasts now exist.

You can get paid to write podcast scripts for voiceover artists like you can get paid to write scripts for movies.

The only difference is that podcasts are listened to on mobile devices.

It used to be that podcasting was an emerging trend, and there weren’t many jobs in this area, but now it’s one of the most popular content types!

If your writing skills go beyond basic grammar, a spot as a writer might be waiting for you too.

Payment: $15-600 per script

The difficulty of success: 6/10

Everyone wants a podcast, no one knows where to start. If you can learn this, you have a remote job that will pay you well.

Learn how to leverage the power of AI and you will be a very successful digital nomad. Not only can you earn a full-time income while traveling, but you can become very successful. Make sure to take our course on how you can become an AI writing nomad today!

Physical Jobs:

Physical jobs are very common for remote workers. Here are some physical jobs to take you abroad.

digital nomad job of fruit picking

74. Fruit Picking

Fruit picking can be a great way to earn money abroad.

I’ve seen a lot of people on social media who have been able to live abroad because they found seasonal fruit picking jobs in their desired location.

Payment: $20-25 per day

Skills Required: Basic Physical Strength and Healthy

Skill Level: Low (primarily for kids), but some farms will take adults too!

A great way if you are looking for something short-term or just need extra money before leaving the country again.

The only downside would be that there might not be many opportunities year-round, so do your research first!

This is especially true in more popular places like South America, where competition is fierce during certain seasons.

The difficulty of success: 2/10

This is one of the easiest jobs for digital nomads to land. The downside is that it is not very fun!

75. Waiting Tables or Bartending

I am sure you are familiar with this one! The best part about waiting tables and bartending is that it is a worldwide skill and necessity.

If you have experience in the restaurant industry back home, why not use your skills to work abroad and make money?

It will be easier to get a job as a waiter or bartender in most places than anything else especially if you are not looking for full-time work!

The only skills required for this job are a knowledge of the menu and how to make drinks. This is not rocket science!

And don’t worry about what you have on. Most restaurants provide uniforms for their servers.

One of the downsides is often working at night and on weekends which can take away from some of the fun while on the road!

The difficulty of success: 2/10

This is similar to a fruit picking job. Easy to get, can pay well, but also limits your travel.

76. Working on a Yacht

Something that has been growing in popularity is for tourists to go work on a yacht.

You can usually find a yacht that needs help with cleaning, cooking for the crew, or even being on deck to entertain guests.

The key is finding one first!

If you are looking at this option and want a paid position, it helps if you have some skills as an engineer or chef before applying. And they will pay well in many cases too!

But don’t give up hope if your only skill is working hard because there are still plenty of boats out there that need someone like you who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty.

Who knows? You may meet people who could lead to further opportunities while traveling. So go ahead and apply today – and see how you can lend a hand!

The difficulty of success: 4/10

These jobs are in fairly high demand and requires hard-work while at sea. However, this can take you to places you have only dreamed of. This is a solid option for being a remote worker.

77. Teach English Abroad

One popular destination for English teachers on the go is Japan, where you can find a full-time teaching job in as little as one week!

Japanese companies are always looking to hire native speakers and will even pay for airfare if you don’t have an EU passport. And, of course, being immersed in Japanese culture while getting paid can be a dream come true!

What are the pros of teaching English abroad?

The advantages include being immersed in Japanese culture as well as earning enough cash flow for plane tickets back home without spending any time freelancing or working odd jobs.

You also get access to programs like JET (Japanese Exchange and Teaching) that help with getting set up – since Tokyo is so large, many teachers find themselves alone at first until they make friends who show them around town.

Programs like this can help many foreign teachers connect with others.

The difficulty of success: 3/10

All you need is to be able to speak fluently and ideally have a university degree to become a English teacher abroad.

78. Work on a Cruise Ship

Working on a cruise ship can be similar to working on a yacht. However, a cruise ship is much bigger and has much more flexibility in the kinds of jobs you can apply for.

Working on a cruise ship in the hospitality industry is a great way to make money throughout Europe or Asia.

Cruise ships provide amenities including restaurants, shops, entertainment, and activities like dance lessons, fitness classes, and spa treatments.

Cruise ship jobs are often advertised in local newspapers when they visit various ports of call (or when you arrive at your destination).

Some cruise line companies have recruitment offices in specific cities that post job openings year-round.

The difficulty of success: 3/10

This is similar to yacht life, but often a little busier, but also more relaxed. A great way for a digital nomad to travel the world while earning a full-time income.

79. Become a Scuba Diving Instructor

Of course, to become a Scuba Instructor, you must be a very experienced diver and have a driving license.

The minimum age to be a Scuba instructor is 18 years old in the USA, or 20 years old if you are not certified yet.

A valid certification card from your country’s dive organization will also usually suffice for qualification purposes.

You need to know how to teach scuba diving and be an experienced diver with at least 30 logged dives before becoming a scuba diving instructor.

After completing all three qualifications, which can take up to two years of full-time work, you will finally qualify as a scuba diving instructor!

The average salary for this job ranges from $36,000 (£25,600) – $60,000 (£43100).

The difficulty of success: 7/10

Now, the difficulty is only so high because you need certifications and experience to become a scuba diving instructor. If you have that, you are one happy digital nomad.

80. Yoga Instructor

Yoga is becoming increasingly popular, and if you are certified to teach Yoga, it can take you to some of the most beautiful places worldwide.

Becoming a yoga instructor is no simple task! You need to have at least 500 hours of training and certification from an organization like Yoga Alliance before you can teach Yoga in most places worldwide.

This is worth pursuing if you are passionate about teaching people how to practice healthy living.

Once you do, it’s best to head for someplace with warm weather, so your classes aren’t freezing! The average salary for this job ranges from $36,000 (£25,600) – $60,000 (£43100).

The difficulty of success: 7/10

Similar to a scuba instructor, you need to have the experience and skill set before you can teach this.

81. Working in a Hostel

Working in hostels is a common way to make traveling much more affordable.

Hostels always look for people to do work such as cleaning, cooking, and reception.

The average pay is around $1200 (£840) a year without tips, but that can go up based on how much you get tipped in the hostel.

You will also receive free accommodation by working at a hostel which saves money! It’s worth noting that different jobs have different requirements, so it’s best to check before applying.

The most popular way to find work is by going into your hostel and asking if they need any workers on that day or shortly, then you can talk about whether there are openings for extra staff.

If you don’t have a job with them yet but want one, say “I’m looking for work” while being friendly!

Hostels always appreciate people who come in early for their shifts, so it never hurts to offer your time as well 🙂

The difficulty of success: 2/10

This is a simple way for digital nomads and remote workers to get free accommodation and even earn some income.

83. House Exchanges

House exchanges are an excellent way for you to experience a new country and culture while also doing a service for someone who needs to be away from their home.

You can book with websites like HomeExchange (free!) or Airbnb, which will give you the contact information of other travelers looking for house-sitters in your area and an opportunity to browse listings before booking one.

Most exchanges require that you spend at least two weeks on each end, which may not fit into everyone’s busy schedule, but it could lead to some long-term travel opportunities!

House Exchanges are usually pretty flexible because neither party has anything invested in them yet. You both agree on certain conditions. Then if either person doesn’t follow through, they aren’t out much more than any time.

Although this will not necessarily generate your income, this will allow you to enjoy the nomad lifestyle at a discounted rate.

The difficulty of success: 8/10

This is not difficult, but you need to own a home… which most digital nomads do not have.

84. House Sitting

House-sitting can be a great way to get free accommodation and generate additional income.

House-sitting is when a homeowner goes away on vacation and pays someone to live in their home, so the pets are looked after.

You can house-sit for as little as one day or up to six months!

The best thing about this opportunity is that you will be able to save money by not paying rent while also getting paid to do something fun like caring for animals, gardening, etc.

Many people recommend using Airbnb’s website because it has many listings worldwide, and most hosts offer discounts if you’re looking at long-term stays (usually two weeks minimum).

If there isn’t an appropriate listing near your destination, then try sites like

TrustedHousesitters.

The difficulty of success: 6/10

Easy to do, but hard to find jobs that actually pay you. Often this is just a great way for free accommodation rather than a full-time income.

85. Become an Au Pair

An Au Pair is a person who lives with a host family and assists them in return for room, board, pocket money, and cultural experience.

Au pairs can come from all over the world to live within someone’s home for up to two years.

You do not need any qualifications or formal teaching degree – just a love of children and a willingness to engage in household chores and provide care when needed.

An Au Pair is different from a nanny because they tend to be younger and on short-term contracts.

The point of an Au Pair is often for an individual to spend time experiencing a new culture.

A full-time, live-in position might only be an option if you have experience in childcare (or your children are the same age), but there are also less demanding positions that offer smaller salaries.

While this is an excellent option to experience travel and new cultures and Countries, this can demand a lot of your time.

Try to negotiate time off or weekends off when considering this option!

The difficulty of success: 3/10

If you like kids, this can be a very easy job for any remote worker. Take care of the kids by day, freelance by night, and travel on the weekends.

86. Become a Party Promoter/Brand Ambassador

If you are young and looking to experience the nightlife while traveling, why not become a party promoter? You can find out about parties in your destination and promote them to a crowd.

Or, if you have connections with people who throw good parties, offer yourself as an ambassador for the party or venue! This is another excellent way of experiencing new cultures and meeting locals!

Party promoters are often paid by how many tickets they sell – so get creative when selling promotional items like posters that will make this job easier on you.

You could also negotiate time off from work (or at least being able to leave early) depending on what type of event it is: some circumstances might be late-night affairs that go until sunrise.

The difficulty of success: 6/10

Are you going to become a millionaire off being a remote party promoter? Not likely. Will you have a good time? Absolutely.

87. Skip the Dishes Delivery Biker

Skipping the dishes is a great way to explore and truly get to know an area or a city.

As a skip the dishes driver, you’ll never know what’s in the dish, but that may be part of the fun.

You can learn how different cultures prepare food or start appreciating a new cuisine.

Skip the dishes is available hourly and will cost about $25/hour (plus tips). It also offers free parking at designated locations around town.

This model has been so successful it’s now being replicated globally! And there are even Skip The Dishes drivers with special dietary requirements like veganism and gluten-free diets!

Also, if in a location that makes this accessible, you can ride your bike for deliveries! Great way to get outside, make money and explore a new place.

The difficulty of success: 2/10

If you are in the right city, this can be easy, lucrative, and a great workout. Also, this is a great way for a remote worker to explore a new location.

88. Drive Uber

Driving Uber is another global rideshare service.

Driving for Uber is a good option because you can work when it suits you. You will be matched to requests in your area and then decide whether or not to accept the request.

Some requirements need to be met, including having a four-door car (or bigger) and passing an on-road safety assessment before being approved as a driver.

And, of course, there are complete background checks, too – so no worries about who you’re picking up!

You get paid per mile/minute depending on which ride type is selected, plus tips from riders if they feel like giving anything extra during their journey with you.

If traveling, you may need a special license or to pass specific tests depending on where you are, so make sure to research the requirements of your location!

The difficulty of success: 6/10

One of the hardest parts about this is having a car. Most remote workers, freelancers, and digital nomads do not have a car with them.

89. Deliver With Postmates

Postmates is a company that delivers food and other items from local businesses.

They offer on-demand delivery, so you can work as much or little as you want – it’s up to you!

It just takes one day of training before starting with deliveries.

The company will also cover the cost of your bike, helmet, lights, reflective gear, and more if needed depending on where you live.

One of the advantages of Postmates is they let you choose your mode of transportation! So this means that if you do not have a vehicle, that is fine as long as you have an alternative way to make deliveries.

You get paid per mile/minute plus tips from riders if they feel like giving something extra.

The difficulty of success: 3/10

Do you have a bike or a car? Then this can be a simple way to earn income as a remote worker.

90. Deliver Groceries – Instacart

Similar to Postmates is a company called Instacart.

Instacart is an online grocery store that will deliver groceries to your door in as little as one hour.

The company has an excellent application for iOS and Android devices where you can sign up, pick the location nearest to you and start working!

You are paid per order – usually around $25-$35, depending on the order size.

Now, this type of job is perfect when traveling because you also get to choose when you work and when you don’t.

Possible cons would be having last-minute requests (which may result in lower pay), driving your vehicle instead of using their service, which means gas costs, etc.

Instacart has been increasingly popular with the Covid-19 pandemic as many people do not feel safe going to grocery stores or are stuck quarantined from home.

The difficulty of success: 3/10

This is essentially another Postmates.

91. Tree Planter

Tree planting is a typical labor job for tourists and travelers.

Tree planting can earn you a lot of money, especially in the UK or Canada, but your pay depends on how hard you are willing to work.

There are also opportunities to get involved with conservation projects and plant trees as part of a team, which can be an enjoyable experience.

The work is usually seasonal, so it’s best to plan this job around times that you will not need money from another source or when your visa expires.

Tree planting is usually paid out based on the number of trees you plant each day. This can be challenging work if you want to make a lot of money, or you can take it a bit slower and earn less.

The difficulty of success: 5/10

This one is challenging to rate. Can you make a lot of money? Yes. Is the work challenging? Yes. This is a great way to work remotely, but you are also in one location for the season.

92. Become a Chef

Do you have a passion for food and cooking?

If so, maybe you should look into becoming a chef overseas.

There are many opportunities to work as a chef in Europe and Asia, especially if you have experience.

Salary will vary depending on where you end up. For example, chefs with more than three years of experience can earn around $65k in Hong Kong, while those without much experience can expect to make about half that amount.

You may also need to get your working papers sorted out before taking the job, so be careful!

One of the advantages of becoming a chef in a new country will be learning different cuisines and dishes.

The difficulty of success: 5/10

This is something that is very difficult for me but may be easy for others. I am a terrible cook. But if you are fortunate enough to have the cooking skills, this is a great remote job.

93. Become a Travel Tour Guide.

Why not sign up to be a tour guide when you are traveling?

Now let’s be clear, this is a full-time job, and it is not always easy or the most pleasant of jobs.

You are responsible for ensuring others are enjoying themselves on the trip and have to be a strong leader and a well-versed traveler.

Tour leading is a job category with many different positions. For example, you could lead overland truck tours from London to Cape Town or lead rambling groups around the vineyards in Tuscany.

There are plenty of online job boards that are accepting applications for travel guides. Just make sure you are prepared before doing so!

The difficulty of success: 6/10

This requires you to truly get to know a city, which is difficult for digital nomads who like to travel a lot. However, if you like staying in one place for extended periods of time, this can be a great remote job for you.

94. Become a Volunteer Firefighter

When I was in University, I was on the wildfire rappel unit in Alberta, Canada.

This was one of the craziest, most exciting jobs I have ever had.

Often our crews were made up of members from all over the world.

This is something that I have always considered, moving to a foreign country and joining their wildfire units.

If you are a fan of excitement, are physically fit, and want to spend summers chasing down wildfires and jumping out of helicopters, I recommend this route for you.

It can be competitive to be accepted, so make sure you have your working permits organized and are physically fit for the job!

One of the added benefits to this is you usually work shift work.

In Canada, it is usually 15 days on and six days off, giving you lots of time to adventure on your days off.

Compensation can be very high as well.

Some summers, I would return to school with $40,000 in my pocket from the summer months.

Another bonus is they usually pay for your accommodation and food all summer!

The difficulty of success: 7/10

Again, hard work but can be rewarding and take you to the countryside in foreign places.

95. Work at a Ski Resort/lodge

Working at a ski resort in a new country can be a great way to follow an adventurous lifestyle and make new friends!

Working in a ski resort can be difficult, but the rewards can be worth it.

The hours are long and can be very cold in the peak winter months.

This job usually offers accommodation and food for free; however, if you’re not living at a ski resort already, they might charge you rent or require some sort of deposit before moving into lodging facilities.

Some people say that working in this industry has given them lots of time off to enjoy life because many employers offer 12-14 days off per month, so take advantage!

Another advantage is you usually get free skiing all winter long! If you like adventure and excitement, this can be a great option to earn money, travel, and make some pretty cool friends.

The difficulty of success: 3/10

Working at a ski resort would be a hell of a fun remote job. If you like the snow, this can be easy to do and earn you a full-time income.

96. Host and Organize Events

Are you a born planner?

If you are always the most organized, detail-oriented person in the room, why not travel and plan events?

As a full-time traveler, you might not always be in the mood to plan an event from scratch. But if you want that extra income and are willing to put some work in beforehand, this can be one way to stay busy while traveling.

Once you get started in this field of work, ask around for referrals or search online for other organizers.

What kind of events might be good candidates? Here are some ideas:

weddings, birthdays/anniversaries, and small-scale parties with friends and colleagues at hotels/resorts where they live full-time.

The difficulty of success: 7/10

If you have experience in planning, this can be a great remote job. Events happen all over the world. The challenging part will be finding people to hire you. So if you have experience, this is a great way to earn a full-time income as a remote worker.

97. Dog Walker

This is absolutely a global opportunity. Everyone loves dogs.

Everyone has dogs, and all dogs need exercise.

Why not travel and become a dog walker! To become a dog walker while traveling, you will need to find a city with plenty of dogs and dog owners willing to hire their pets for walks.

You may want to start with the websites Craigslist or Gumtree in your target country, then reach out on social media if you don’t receive any responses.

Dog walkers can charge anything from $15-45 per hour, depending on where they work and how busy they are – so there’s no excuse not to take this opportunity!

What do I need? You’ll need basic pet first aid training before caring for someone else’s dog. If you have time, enroll in beginner courses through local universities or community colleges (or online).

Know about different breeds and what might be best suited for each dog.

The difficulty of success: 2/10

If you like dogs, this is a very simple way to generate income while working remotely.

98. Volunteer for an Organization!

Thousands of organizations provide volunteer work that will enable you to travel the world. Pick a country and search online for volunteer work.

Every good traveler needs to make an impact on the road!

Volunteering will allow you to do something more than just be a tourist.

You’ll have the opportunity to get hands-on experience in your field of interest, meet new people from all over the world, learn about other cultures through volunteering abroad, and much more.

The possibilities are endless when it comes to finding opportunities where you can help out or participate in some way that benefits communities around the globe and allows you time off travel–and sometimes with full room & board included!

The difficulty of success: 5/10

This has a medium difficulty for one reason. It is challenging to earn a full-time income as a volunteer. However, some organizations still have great benefits for their volunteers.

99. Airbnb Property Manager

If people own a vacation home and use it as an Airbnb rental, reach out to them and see if you can manage their Airbnb listing.

Some things that you will need to do as a property manager are:

  • Respond to guest inquiries
  • Confirm reservations and send through the host manual with any relevant information for that property
  • Handle check-in/check-out duties, including arranging cleaning of the property, liaising with cleaners if needed, etc.
  • Answer telephone calls from guests as required.

Another thing that the Airbnb owners may ask from you is to help them generate additional bookings.

To help them with that, you can help with staging, advertising campaigns, and adding high-quality images to the website.

The difficulty of success: 7/10

This can be a lucrative remote job, but also can be challenging and time consuming.

100. Hairstylist

If you have any experience as a hairstylist, you may as well take your skills global!

Having the proper qualifications, licenses, and insurance before styling hair abroad is essential because it will not be legal everywhere. So ensure that you do your research first.

Find a destination you want, and start reaching out to hair salons! This can be a great way to travel around and earn some money.

The difficulty of success: 5/10

If you are a hairstylist by trade, this is an easy way to work from anywhere in the world. This is a medium difficulty because you do need a certification or experience to earn a full-time income while traveling the world as a hair stylist.

101. Host and Organize Dinners

This one is special, and it is one that we have done before to generate a LOT of cash with minimal effort.

The key is using a marketing boost company to offer free vacation giveaway incentives.

What you do here is you find a restaurant that offers an excellent 3-course meal.

Look for a restaurant that has as many perks as possible.

For instance, Kevin and I rented out a space in Calgary that also offered a movie screening.

What you do next is reserve 30 tables.

The offer is this: A couples evening where they get a 3-course meal and a movie with a 1 in 5 chance to win a trip to Hawaii (or any destination that marketing boost offers).

Run online ad campaigns and charge 150 dollars per couple.

You pay the restaurant 75-100 dollars per couple.

Therefore, you profit 50-75 dollars per couple, and all you had to do was fill the restaurant!

The difficulty of success: 3/10

This is not difficult if you know what you are doing. A great way to become a full-time traveler while generating significant income.

Graphic Design and Video Editing

Next on our list for the top jobs to become a full-time digital nomad is graphic design and video editing

a graphic designer digital nomad

102. Create Logo Animations.

This is one of the easiest ones on the list and requires next to no skill… if you have the right tools!

If you get an Envato Elements subscription, you have a library of thousands of logo animations at your disposal.

You will also need to have either premiere pro or after effects and the basic knowledge on how to edit the templates, but apart from that, it is all click and drag!

The difficulty of success: 3/10

This was a more difficult freelance job until templates were born. Now this is an easy way for you to work remotely from anywhere in the world.

103. Video Editing Jobs

Video editing is something that takes some skill and time to get good at, but it can be a lucrative skill for the right people.

A quick Google search will reveal all sorts of freelance sites where you could start your hunt!

There are countless kinds of video editing jobs out there.

Some people need online advertisement videos created for their business, others need help with branding or marketing videos, and some even need full-blown TV commercials.

There are also plenty of opportunities to create video content for social media campaigns.

Many companies will hire freelancers to do all the video editing work that they don’t have time or resources to handle themselves in-house!

Video editors can be expected to produce pre-made clips and make edits on specific requests if needed.

To get started, you’ll likely want a decent PC (if not better) and software such as Adobe Premiere Pro CC ($19/month), Sony Vegas PRO 14 ($50/month), or Final Cut X.

Check out this article on how you can create a viral advertising video.

The difficulty of success: 6/10

This is a freelancer or digital nomad job that requires a fair amount of skill to earn a full-time income while traveling. If you have the skill, this is a great job to do while working remotely.

104. Logo Creation

A great way to earn money is to freelance logo creation.

Many companies will hire freelancers to do all the work they don’t have in-house time or resources. It’s not uncommon for a company to pay $200+ for one logo design, which can take as little as an hour!

Logo designers are expected to produce pre-made logos that clients request, but this is also an opportunity for you to create your specific niche like illustration, abstract art, lettering, etc. if desired.

It takes patience and practice, so be prepared with a portfolio of past designs before offering your services because many people consider these skills difficult!

You’ll need Photoshop CC 2018 ($19/month) or Illustrator CC 2017 (free) to get started.

The difficulty of success: 4/10

Again, before the times of templates, this would most likely require a certificate or diploma. Those days are behind us.

105. Sound and Audio Design

Something that does take some technical skill is learning how to master sound and audio design.

Sound and audio design can be lucrative for freelancers because it’s a skill that companies often need but don’t have in-house.

If you’re interested, check out Coursera for more information on the basics of sound design, like frequency and amplitude, necessary to know before starting your freelance career!

In addition to general audio skills, there is also an opportunity for freelancers to specialize in specific areas such as voiceover work or music production.

Sound design can be applied to podcasts, marketing videos for social media, promo videos, and all other multimedia projects.

The difficulty of success: 8/10

If you are a sound engineer, you can do this from anywhere in the world. If you do not have the skillset, this is a challenging remote job to take on.

106. Wedding Invitation Designer

People are willing and prepared to spend thousands of dollars on their weddings. You can use your graphic design skills by creating wedding invitations!

This is often called the “invitation industry,” and skilled designers can make money by offering their services for a price ranging from $150 to over $1000.

If you’re interested in starting your own wedding invitation design business, check out this online course on Wedding Invitations & Stationery Design.

The difficulty of success: 4/10

People are willing to spend on weddings. Show you are creative and have a great taste for design, and you can travel the world and create wedding invitations all day long.

107. Build Online Courses for Business Owners

As mentioned earlier in this article, online courses are practical tools for business owners.

You can almost talk to any business owner and convince them they should build their online course.

What’s holding most people back? They do not know where to begin!

That is where you come in.

Walk them through the course creation process and edit their content for them.

You can charge an hourly rate, ask for a percentage of course sales, or ideally, both!

If you want to learn the course creating process, I highly recommend taking the course creator pro by Parker Walbeck.

The difficulty of success: 7/10

You need to know quite a few skills to do this successfully. If you have the skills, you can make a lot of money and work from anywhere in the world.

108. Business Card Design

If you have graphic skills, start designing business cards.

You can be paid per card design, or you can offer your services on a monthly retainer basis.

I suggest creating a portfolio website with links to all of your work. Hence, it’s easy for potential employers to see what they’re getting into before investing in hiring someone without experience.

It never hurts to have a few testimonials from satisfied customers, either – make sure they know how great it is to work with somebody who knows what they’re doing!

Some places to find business card design clients include Facebook and LinkedIn groups, local marketing associations, Fiverr, Upwork, freelancer.com, and more.

The difficulty of success: 5/10

There are templates online for this kind of thing, but also a lot of freelancers looking for clients. High demand but can pay well if you have a steady client list.

109. Design T-shirt Logos and Graphics

With the ease of people starting their own online clothing companies, people need designs!

Use your graphic skills to design t-shirts and logos for clothing companies.

You can find clients on sites such as Fiverr and Upwork or search design t-shirt logos on Google and contact them directly through their website.

This one can be enjoyable as it allows you to get creative! Master Photoshop and you are in business.

The difficulty of success: 6/10

Most graphic tee companies use their own creative designs to be successful. However, companies will outsource this work if you are a talented graphic designer.

110. Design Car Wraps for Businesses

Where would you look if you wanted to get your car wrapped to promote your business? I imagine you do not have someone at your place of work that would have the skills or knowledge on this.

Take advantage of that!

Again, use freelancing services and apply to create the designs for their vehicles to be wrapped.

All you need to know is the necessary dimensions and sizing and a mockup of some vehicles so you can show them what they will look like.

A true graphic designer should have no problem specializing in this niche.

The difficulty of success: 5/10

This is a niche option, which is good and bad. It may be challenging to get started, but once you build up your portfolio it can be a nice way to earn a full-time income as a freelancer.

111. Create Intro Videos

Creating intro videos is now easier than ever, and it is something that people will still pay a lot of money for.

Intro videos can be used on websites, blogs, YouTube videos, and personal social media sites.

You can make an intro video for any business or product you want to promote online. It is a great way to customize your brand before people come across it and have no idea what the company does – they will almost always watch the full video because they are intrigued by this point!

As previously mentioned, a website like Envato Elements will provide you with all the intro video templates you need to make high-quality and custom content.

The difficulty of success: 6/10

While templates greatly help freelancers build intro videos, you still need to know how to use editing software. It also requires a fast and efficient laptop to render these videos quickly.

112. Create Advertisement Videos

This time, you are not the one filming the content, but you are the one editing it.

All businesses need promotional content, so why not be the ones to edit the footage that will be shown on their social media pages.

Again, use a resource like Envato Elements and select some templates.

You will need to know after effects and premiere pro, but that is pretty much it!

You can also learn how to find excellent stock footage on platforms such as Artgrid and use your editing skills to create sequences that would work for various clients.

The difficulty of success: 6/10

Are you a talented video editor? If so, pack your bags, and work remotely as all companies now need video editors. This is slightly above average in terms of difficulty mostly because you need editing skills.

113. Learn App Development

If you learn how to develop apps, you will be able to charge for your time and skills.

However, app development takes some excellent skills, so you will need to be able to learn it on your own or find an outstanding, reputable course.

You can also use an app development platform such as App Maker and choose from templates already designed for entrepreneurs in the app space.

This is one of the best ways because if you know what kind of apps people want, then you can use pre-built templates and sell them that way.

The difficulty of success: 8/10

This would be a 10/10 on the difficulty scale, but like most things on this list, there is now a way to use artificial intelligence and templates to create apps.

114. Podcast Cover Art

Everyone has a podcast nowadays, making it more competitive than ever!

That means that anyone who wants to start their podcast has to stand out from the crowd. One way to do that is to have high-quality covers for the podcast and episodes.

A graphic designer can capitalize on this by becoming a podcast cover designer. A podcast cover designer can charge $250-$400 per cover and create the covers for fellow podcasters.

If you can use photoshop or illustrator well, this should be no problem!

Again, many websites can provide you with ideas and templates if you want to pursue designing podcast covers.

The difficulty of success: 7/10

This is a true freelance job. Work will probably be inconsistent but can be a great way to supplement your income while being a full-time traveler.
